1958 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible coming at you.

1958 Pontiac Bonneville

Check out the photo-etched Bonneville on front hood.

Where do you start with one as good looking as this one? The first thing that grabbed my attention on this beauty was the photo etching just beautiful on the front hood the word Bonneville looks great as it does on the lower front part of the front fender and across the lower part of the rear deck out of sight behind the conti kit also the Pontiac Power PE on the upper rear part of the front fender also looks just great.

The paint is Mallard Turquoise/Marlin Turquoise with the Mallard being the main color and the Marlin being the insert color so to speak. With just enough metallic mixed in to look fabulous. I took mine out side in the sun light and this paint just takes your breath away it's that great looking.

The two toned interior looks great together I really liked the bucket seats with their chrome trim and the carpet looks good against these seats. To me and I may be wrong the dash seems to have to much chrome to it? Don't know about the pull out radio but I did like the way the paint around the knobs seems to be warned down from use.

The engine with it's big Tri-Powered motor looks out of sight with all the DM goodies fully done out with all the wires, hoses, and three two's with linkage and a air cleaner cover that comes off. DM really knows what they are doing under the hood.

Now the backend of this Pontiac and I have to say it up front that I am not a fan of conti kits or fender skirts but on this long as they come boats they do work. And in the trunk we have the jack, jackstand and tire iron but no spar tire as the conti takes care of that one. Now for the piece de re-sis-tance you just have to take a good look at the power antenna with the antenna motor and wires looks great.

The conti on the back works good but I don't know about all that chrome on the conti extension. And don't miss the PE'ed Pontiac on the conti body. Now don't forget to open the backup light on the drivers side to reveal the gas door.

And last but not least you have to check out all the detail work on the under side of this one WOW! The gas line and the hard brake lines in the back as well as the as the emergence brake dip stick, breather pipe and so on. Way to go Danbury! Almost forgot the removable fender skirts and the convertible top both of which work well and look good to boot.

What can I say? I just love this color, the top comes off, fender skirts come off, air cleaner cover comes off and the radio comes out!

1958 Pontiac Bonneville

Oops, I dropped the radio. Can you see the way the paint on the dash board around the radio is faded from playing that dang thing so much.

1958 Pontiac Bonneville

Check out the script work on the fenders beautiful and you can read the word Pontiac in the center of the wheel covers.

1958 Pontiac Bonneville

Is this a first? I've never heard of any little diecast cars that you could take the air cover off.

1958 Pontiac Bonneville

What a beauty. And I wasn't even thinking of ordering one of these because of the conti kit. Oh thank heaven for the DM Preview Society cars.
