Let's hope that is just the corporate name, not a new brand. I can already hear the jokesters....."I see you're driving a new 'praying mantis' today" ....

The news states it's the corporate name and not to be a brand. However, the article goes on to say that rumors are that both the Chrysler and Fiat brands may be on the chopping block. We'll see.
From my POV Chrysler ceased to exist when Daimler bought them out and has been living on borrowed time ever since. This may be the merger that finally tombstones the name.

If I was betting, I'd say Dodge goes first. They already took Dodge off trucks (they only use "Ram"), and I hear the van is next. Only the Chrysler T&C was supposed to go forward on the van.
