I would love to get rid of the ass wart on mine. It's such an outstanding model otherwise.

Like this one Mark? This was the first diecast I had ever modified. I was so tense you couldn't have drove a toothpick up my arse with a jackhammer lol. It turned out ok though, got me into doing more diecast mods. Amazing how the colors change from natural light to artificial.

A truly amazing model.
And I love this color-combo; but, I got the 'red' version because it didn't have the connie-kit.
I was not disappointed with it 'at all'.

Oldsmobile had the "Rocket" engines, but just look at that understated Pontiac rocket side trim!

I don't like it with the connie and skirts. Gene did a great job!!I like skirts, but I don't know why the two '58 Pontiacs have the unnecessary chrome trim around them.

I agree about the continental kit, but not sure I have the courage to try and remove it like Gene did. I've built literally hundreds of kits over the decades, but my hands arn't as steady or my eyes as focused as they once were.

Thinking about doing it is the worst part. Once you dive in and are committed, it really isn't bad at all.

And, Testors Model Master Chezoom Teal is a really darn close touch up if you need it
