The weight and composition of this Franklin Mint 1:24 scale 1953 Cadillac convertible easily exceeds many 1:18 scale models. It is the only Franklin Mint model in my collection and was obtained in a swap for an old, funky, gas-powered, two cycle lawn blower on its last leg. The details on this older Franklin Mint release are quite good considering its age; my copy is missing the passenger side mirror, however. Overall though, it shows out very well for a 50s land yacht and I am very happy to have it in my eclectic collection.

Thanks for looking....

Nice pics Bob that Caddy was hi tech at the time FM released it and has held up pretty well over time.

Looks good, maybe you will find a mirror to replace the one missing.

I think I have the red or blue version, this white one was way too early, before I began my involvement in the hobby.

It may be old-tech, but it is still one of my favorite models. All three colors are excellent.
Congratulations on your first, maybe there will be more to follow!

Oh no, now you have gone and done it. You might be on your way to a 300+ car collection.

I *may* have a mirror - I have a couple of these as parts cars. I buy them for the wheels when I find them cheap. Other parts are just icing.

I'll try to remember to look and get back to you.
