my mechanic had told me to order what I need and he would install it. That didn't happen so I called a few people I knew that had a lift and finally one said sure come over and you can use it. Forty five minutes later the hitch was installed along with the wiring; we are good to go. I can now put a bike rack on the back and start riding my bike once again. I doubt I will ever pull a trailer but if I do I have lights that will work too. My CRV can only tow 1500 lbs which includes the trailer so I will be lucky to haul a couple hundred pounds if that. I just need the bike rack on it for me anyway. And it felt good to do it myself too.

Good for ya, Myron.

I have a hitch receiver on my F-Series...looking to find a good sturdy load platform with railings to use with it. Went to Tractor Supply and a local RV place today, but didn't find what I think I want. Gotta keep looking, because I don't buy things on-line anymore.

Have a worn-out water heater outside my backdoor that I want to haul away to a salvage/recycle yard.... that'll be the first job with it. Then some bundles of roofing for my shed. Although, I'm thinking of also rigging up a bike rack "attachment" so the platform can do double duty. I'll need to invent something, there.

I've gotten to the point I don't want to climb up and down into my pickup box if I don't have to. (RV store wanted $250 for just a bike rack! Hauls three bikes, but still.... )
