More Info:
The Ardun Flathead: the ultimate iteration of an engine that has powered countless hotrods, dragsters, family cars, military vehicles, etc. An ordinary Ford Flat head engine outfitted with Ardun heads, the brainchild of Zora ArkusDutov, an engineer who later developed innumerous products for General Motors, became a fire-breathing animal. Ardun Power Products designed and fabricated aluminum overhead valve cylinder heads with hemispherical combustion chambers that could be bolted to a stock Ford V8 60 flathead block. The Ardun heads delivered serious horsepower gains for hot rodders hungry for more speed and were the precursor to the Chrysler "hemi". These special aluminum heads enabled the engine to produce 300+ horsepower, and several cars equipped with these heads went on to set drag racing and Bonneville Salt Flat records helping to establish Zora’s engineering legacy.
