The 1967 Fairlane continued Ford’s trend toward sporty, youthful styling with a narrowwidenarrow stripe just above the rocker panels coupled with a new deeply recessed grille added to the performance image. The vertically mounted dual headlamps created instant Ford identification and the GT included all the features of the 500 and 500 XL with the addition of power disc brakes, wide oval white tires, a special GT hood with simulated "power domes", fender plaques, and an optional 390 with a 4 speed manual transmission.
