The 1970 GTO convertible’s beauty lies in a strong basic shape, voluptuous yet tasteful, and it needs no tack­on trim to enhance its appearance. But beauty alone could not change the fact that by the 1970’s, the popularity of convertibles in America had dwindled dramatically, and Pontiac was not immune as they produced fewer each year. This is our vision of how we would restore one of these hard to find diamonds in the rough. Start with a high gloss black paint job that follows the cars upper lines, accented by a red stripe to show off the shape, with a quicksilver finish to the fenders and doors. Lowered and dressed up with new 16" Billet wheels, a Hurst shifter, and she’s ready to be admired. Under the hood we added chrome valve covers, intake manifold, and air cleaner to add a little glow.
