This is the GTO General Motors never wanted you to know about. The only proof to its existence was the 30 second television ad the aired during Superbowl IV. The ad was immediately pulled and was never aired again. The secret behind the Humbler was a feature VOE, or Vacuum Operated Exhaust, was a cable activated under dash lever marked "Exhaust". The VOE was designed to reduce exhaust backpressure increasing horsepower and performance, not to mention increasing the exhaust noise. The option was only offered from November 1969 to January of 1970.
