In 1969 "Ohio George" Montgomery would team up with Mr. Gasket Co. to field a wild Chapman Automotive chassis, blown Boss 429 twin turbo that absolutely flew with a best 1/4 ET Speed of 8.22 seconds at 173.75 m.p.h.!
It was introduced at US Nationals at Indianapolis where not only did George dominate his class; he also won the Best Engineered Car award. The overall results of the turbo program was nothing short of phenomenal and pushed the NHRA to handicap the car to try to equal the field, it failed.
