WCPD 1959 Chevrolet

Beautiful, simply doesn't describe this model appropriately. Brian Dunning deserves a standing ovation for the creation of this outstanding line of Impala’s. I find the WCPD ’59 Impala’s to be the best of breed for a specific year. Color, lines, detail it is all there in the WCPD package.

Fit and finish on the model I have sitting in front of me is flawless. The paint is gorgeous and glass like. The overall stance of the model is perfect. I love the color combination of the Aspen Green and Classic Cream it screams ’59 Impala.

The WCPD ’59 Impala is loaded with bling, such as removable hubcaps and skirts. The skirts slide off very easily if you prefer the no skirt look as some collectors do. My personal preference is to leave the skirts on, it’s a ’59 and the skirts emphasize that. The model comes with two different sets of hubcaps allowing you to achieve that special look on your replica.

Open the door and peer inside to one of the most exciting interiors that ever crossed my desk. Detail, detail, detail…this replica has the most realistic upholstery I ever saw. Included inside are operating ashtray, glove box, readable gauges and folding seatbacks. The seatback on the passenger side of my replica does not fold all the way back, therefore, it does not line up with the driver side correctly. No big deal for me, I pose it with the seat backs tilted slightly forward.

Engine detail is the best of the best, outstanding. I can’t believe the amount of wires and hoses found inside the compartment. However, the steering of this model is posable, which means the steering wheel does not move the wheels of the model you have to adjust them manually by hand.

Bottom line you need one of these ’59 Impala’s in your collection. Based on fit, finish, detail and build quality of the WCPD ’59 Impala I score this replica a grand slam 5 star model…Congratulations Brian Dunning and your design team on a job well done.
