A limited edition belonging to the original Corvette series. You must have purchased the first in the series, which was the 1953 Corvette to qualify for this absolutely stunning replica.
This is in my opinion the most stunning in the entire series. Is it the glass like finish or just the eye appeal? Whatever the case it is a must have replica for discriminating Corvette collectors everywhere.
Where do I start on this replica? The fit and finish is superb and its stance is spot on. There are photo-etched emblems denoting "Stingray" on both front fenders lending to its fantastic appearance. The gas cover on the rear deck opens and the rear deck lid also opens allowing the illusion of the top being tucked away.
Hold onto your chair when you open the hood, you are about to feast your eyes on one of the most detailed engine compartments that ever crossed my desk. Outstanding, is an understatement. Everything is in there and I do mean everything. Master cylinder, fan belts, hoses and anything else that you would imagine being under the hood. This is a five star replica based on the under hood detail alone. My hat goes off to the Danbury Mint designers on this one.
It doesn't end there either; get out the magnifying glass to enjoy the detail of this interior. It is absolutely gorgeous with its detailed gauges plush carpeting and detailed console.
Prior to obtaining this model I thought the Danbury Mint '69 Corvette in Daytona Yellow was as good as it gets. Trust me, this one kicks it up another notch or should I say it raised the bar to a new height. Place this replica on your must have list of die cast replicas as it truly is in my books. The Danbury Mint 1969 Corvette is without a doubt a five star replica you need to own.
