The West Coast Precision Diecast 1959 El Camino is an exceptionally well executed model worthy of a spot in any collection.

I for one collect trucks and this replica definitely fills a slot that nobody else can. I mean how many precision diecast 1:24th scale El Camino's do you see in the market today.

The '59 El Camino was Chevy's response to the very successful Ford Ranchero. Truth be told the El Camino was not very successful in the market place. For one, the gorgeous fins that were the trademark of a '59 Chevrolet were a body shop nightmare. Now I am not saying that this was the cause for dismal sales but it does leave one wondering what the problem was.

I personally worked for GM, in the truck division, and I can honestly say that the El Camino was not a popular seller; it didn't have the hauling capacity of an actual truck. Therefore a contractor wouldn't even give them a second look. If you required a vehicle for some light hauling and comfort was important to you then this was the vehicle for you. However, weak demand, for this novel vehicle, didn't go unnoticed and the model was scrapped for lack thereof.

Now that you know a little history about the El Camino let's take a closer look at the West Coast Precision Diecast replica. Opening the box and viewing this red classic for the first time was truly a treat for me. I love the body style of the '59 Impala and WCPD captured it perfectly. The fit and finish on the WCPD El Camion were superb. Tight body lines are the norm, and the chrome fits tightly against the body. I should add that the paint was flawless too.

The model is the perfect "Eye Candy" or very appealing to the eye. It has the look and proper proportions for a '59 El Camino and that is important to me.

Opening the doors and you will be equally impressed with the stunning interior found inside. The '59 El Camino has the classic retro look of the late 50's and Mr. Dunning and his team of designers did an outstanding job replicating that look on this model. The dash is truly a work of art and the gauges are beautifully replicated too. The interior has the look of a precision diecast not a plastic toy.

Pop the hood and be equally impressed with the amount of detail found there too. Hoses, wires, cables and more make the West Coast Precision Diecast a true work of art that belongs on a shelf today. Yes, it "popped my cork" and I know it will pop yours too; this is unquestionably a five star model.

Order yours today. Otherwise you will be disappointed when it sells out; it limited to only 200 units and will sell out quickly.
