Kinda reminds me of Lady Libertys features.

Slatington PA, know it well Alfred. You were lucky on that ride, for sure.

Myron might remember a winter memory I posted on JSS many years ago. This pic reminded me of that memory.
I think it was the winter of 1981. Myself and partner Rob, with one black cat and one small white dog, had just moved from Houston to NYC. Rob's family lived in Slatington PA, not far from Allentown PA. Rob & I were visiting friends in Allentown, just a little dusting of snow. Get on the road back to Slatington. Two lane roads over hills, it turned into a blizzard fast. I was driving my 1976 white Eldo convertible. With front wheel drive I could push foreword. Shortly no cars on the road, no indication where the road was. Total white-out. The windshield wipers froze up with ice and Rob was hanging out the passenger side window saying "go your way or saying going my way". Rob was an intelligent Mensa, but had trouble with left or right.
I thought we might die that night between Allentown and Slatington. A white convertible, snow covered road, if I slide off the road they would not find us till Spring. As I said, moving from Houston to NYC, we had no winter cloths, just an old army blanket and bottle of vodka in the trunk. I seriously thought we would die that night if I lost control of the Eldo and went off the road.
