This morning I decided to spend another day with DMs '58 Impala. I hope that is acceptable. This is a very nice model and since several color options were made available, I thought I'd feature these two.
1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible - a LE of 5000 in Onyx Black (this is the 2nd of these models I've had in my collection, sold the 1st one. Which I regretted almost immediately; it took a couple of years to find another one. This is the only one of DMs Impala convertibles that offered a top-up version.
Along with the convertible, DM offered a hardtop in one of the best color combinations available in this model. It is the only one of the three hardtops that came in two-tone colors.
1958 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop Sport Coupe - A LE, #548 of 5000 in Sierra Gold & Arctic White
I thought seriously about both of these. Got outbid on the gold hardtop once. so, I missed on both of them. My bad.
BTW ... as a decent 2nd option for the 2-tone hardtop; Revell did a couple versions in what they called 1:24; but, they were really 1:25. I've got the red + white veersion.
Wow, I didn't know that about the up-top on the black convertible. I kick myself passing on the Sierra Gold one. I was happy with Silver Blue, so decided to spend money on other models rather than a different color. Today, with nothing new offered, I think differently.
