You could buy a new car for $2600!

1962 Ford Fairlane 500

(replacement wheels? and aftermarket A/C)

(this example has aftermarket wheels)

In high school (1967-69) a good friend had a 1962 Fairlane 500 two door, white w / red interior. He washed it about every 3 days and waxed monthly. It always looked showroom fresh. He should have spent more time on his studies as he didn't graduate on time. On the other hand, I had to keep both my car clean and grades up so Dad would pay the up keep on my 1963 T-Bird.

I would be happy to have the Mercury Meteor and the white Fairlane with the 260 V8.
