lol, I made this run up Pikes Peak in the early '80's, with a Cordoba.
The air was so thin, I thought it would stall before we got to the top. Barely made it! Foot to the floor, it ran less than 10 mph the final 200 yards.
In fairness, the 1976 car wasn't set up for high altitude.

You're right Bill. The catbs' air-fuel mixture has to be adjusted for vehicles at higher altitude.

I lived in Colorado for about a year in '76-'77. Loved it and miss it to this day. I drove all over; but, never up Pikes's Peak. I did hike up Long's peak once! LOL!

Those guys/gals who raced up Pike's Peak are half crazy. A hundred things could go wrong ... and your'e dead. Thos drop-offs are SERIOUS.

Still ... the Rockies are something to see.

I did Pikes Peak in 1972. Had to take the tram up; the car couldn’t make it.
