Pontiacs stylists designed it but Chevy and Corvette got it!

That would have cut into Corvette sales. Probably why it wasn’t approved for production.

Very cool, image a 421 super duty under the hood. I'd do this in 1/24.

That is the official story that's been circulated. It would have been a fraction of the price of a 'Vette with nearly similar performance.
