Rick posted this on his social media site and I want to share it here.
To all of my friends, I want to thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. The good news is that I recovered almost fully from my stroke. Apparently, it was a relatively small one. Then, on New Year's Eve, I began to feel weakness in my legs. It worsened during the day and after midnight, I called for an ambulance. Turns out that now have Guillain Barre Syndrome. (I had to look it up too...) Cannot walk or stand up. I got meds and am now in Mid Hudson Regional Center in Poughkeepsie for three weeks of rehab. Praying that I will walk out of here. Give thanks for every healthy day you have because your life can change literally over overnight. Peace..
Wow, I will continue to pray for Rick. Godspeed my friend. Myron, thanks for the update. I truly pray the best for our friend. He's one of the great ones.
My prayers are with him. Nothing as disheartening as nearly recovering from something like that and then having the figurative rug pulled out from under.
