It's a 1959 Borgward Isabella TS coupe, currently for sale on bring-a-trailer, bid stands at $10K.
This car pictured is in Canada.
It's a German luxury car brand I believe, and looks a bit like a body design clone of Studebaker!! Anyway, it's something off-the-wall different I've found and looked at today.
The German company tried to import cars to the US in 1960, like VW had done a bit earlier. But they were unsuccessful, and the company eventually declared bankruptcy in Germany in 1963.
(even though they did pay off all creditors in full, with additional cash left over)

Not me.
Looks like one of thos of those special edition Italian jobs.
Not bad looking either. Although, it struck me that some nice wire-whels would've looked better than those baby-moons.

I’ve seen many over the years. I don’t believe it was a luxury make.

OK, I'll qualify my remark ...... in post-war Germany, it was a luxury brand. Bigger name companies likely had to clean-up a lot of war debris and restore factories.
Plus people didn't have a lot of money to spend on cars after the war.
Wiki I read said the Borgwart was one of 4 brands that company had, and it was their luxury brand. Until I ran into this a few days ago, I knew nothing about them.

The exterior looks Italian, but the interior says German. Never heard of these, but Borgward sounds vaguely familiar.
