Let's add to that. The presumptive Dem nominee replacing Biden was complicit in a conspiracy to hide the failing health, physical and mental, of the president. She put the interests of the administration, the party, and herself ahead of her duty to the country and its citizens. That's a dereliction of duty. Vote for that? No way. No how.

And remind me, is the red or blue supporting a convicted felon? Yes, the one who has filed bankruptcy multiple times, the one who doesn't think sexual assault is a big deal and has been unfaithful to three different wives. Yes I am thinking about the guy who thinks the Charlottesville Nazis might be some good people (if it gets him votes).
The Donald was a client of mine in the 1980s, as I was designing some of his properties. I had my dealings with him as our office was only about three blocks from Trump Tower. Thankfully I mostly dealt with Ivana, whom I came to respect. Just about every negative thing you have heard about the Donald, I witnessed / experienced first hand. That is the man the red team wants to lead / control our country. Regarding statistics, there are so many factors involved this chart does not represent the entire story why prices have increased.

And yet you thank old guy Trump is both mentality and physically fit to lead our country? Seriously, you can not have it both ways. You hit on Biden because of his age, while Trump is both Old and angry. Trump is going to be the oldest Candidate running for office.
Is Trump running for office for the betterment of our country, or just because the man wants the power? Do your research before you vote.

A man that filed bankruptcy three times, cheated on three wives. Paid porno stars hush money. This is a man you want to govern our country?

I have never said this publicly before. In the 1980s, I was Senior Designer at Belmuth Design, Trump was my account with his casinos. Our office was only a few blocks from Trump Tower.

One evening, about 6 PM. Ivana was at our door wanting to be buzzed in. She was a mess, crying, saying Donald was out of control. Minutes later Donald showed up, we buzzed in in. I do not know what they where arguing about, but in front of me he hit her so hard she flew back into a conference room chair.

This is a man you want to be president?

Something else I have never stated before publicly. At Belmuth Design, when I was the designer for Trump properties, I was required to design a custom round rug about 12-feet dia. The pattern had about 50 colors, it took me two weeks @ design time charged at $250 per hour. In the 1980s this rug cost more than $100,000, and the rug went to a Trump home. But Belmuth Design was instructed to charge it off to Trump Casino in Atlantic City.

This is the man you want to be president?

I'll probably regret saying this, but Al, I agree with you 100% and I did not vote for either candidate in 2020 because I could not accept either candidate as qualified for office.

If the current 2024 election had come down to the same 2 candidates, I likely would have skipped over voting for POTUS again this time.

I don't think so far I've seen anything out of Harris that makes me think I should change my mind and vote for either of them, but I'll give it a couple more months to let things get sorted out.

However Al, the choice here is really between a bad candidate versus a political philosophy of Socialism. We can't have 4 more years of that in the US, so I may hold my nose long enough to push a button on the voting machine --- in the hope that it upends and weakens the DNC leadership structure enough to change the party internally before 2028.

After the 2024 election, we can have 4 mores years of dualing impeachments, to prevent either candidate from mucking up the country too bad.

I would like to see our country gain back some of the respect that was lost internationally when Trump was in office. I believe most, but not all, Americans can not see past their own backyard and realize how US policies can effect the rest of the world. We need a leader that is a diplomat, a negotiator, not a dictator. We need a leader that can be bi-partisan, do what is best for the country and not what is only good for themselves, or one political party, or big business rich donors.

This country has had cycles of recessions and inflations since the beginning. About every decade or so. Every politician running for office makes promises that voters want to hear. They are going to fix the economy, fix the border issues, fix crime, fix this or that whatever voters want to hear. Currently unemployment is very low, which to me is a good sign. Many people that want jobs get jobs. I remember distinctly when Bush #1 said we are not in a recession and the East Coast was closing down. Did Trump fix crime, No. Did Trump fix the border issues, No. And currently he talked his friends into blocking what was a bi-partisan border solution so he could use it as an issue in his latest run for office (good for the country, no, good for Trump, yes). Did he fix the economy, No. He gave tax breaks to the rich and big business, rolling back environmental safeguards. He also raised the national deficit that is not talked about. He is running on the same platform, same rhetoric he used before. And is he a diplomat, No. He reverts to name calling like an adolescent bully. I would like us to not have a rich geriatric bully that has always gotten his way.

Believe it or not I am not trying to convince anyone, to rethink their passion for Trump. That is a lost cause as this country has become so divided, some think extremely divided. I believe in our Constitution, and our Rule of Law. Some do not. Trump is already saying if 'HE' does not win, the elections are rigged. He couldn't prove that the first time he lost, lets hope in this country we never see a reply of Jan. 06.

Al, I'm not a Trump fan. I have zero passion for him.
But for every comment you made there about him, the narrative about the opponents in this 2024 election is worse.
Sorry, you can write all the literature you want, but Socialism is worse. We can't have that.
You want to vote for the opponents, it is clear, because you dislike Trump personally. You really need to put that aside for the bigger good.
What the Socialists want to do is give away everything this country has fought hard to earn. That's wrong, and we adults, including you, must stand in their way, until we weaken them so much they lose power within the Democratic Party.
At this point Al, I will say that I'm a life-long member of the REAL Democratic Party, so you won't just think I'm blowing hot air up your shirt. I have been elected and served three times in my life at Democratic conventions. I know what has gone on there, because I was inside and saw it personally. I stopped supporting the party in 2012, and am now independent.
The Socialists in the "new" democratic party want to do things like give away our strategic oil reserve and make defending our country riskier, use "renewable energy" that can in no way support the current demand for energy much less future demand, erase our border so every one on the planet who can get here gets free money paid to them by US taxpayers, they have raised prices so high with inflation that seniors / retirees cannot afford to live because our life savings have been devalued and our purchasing power lost. And still they want higher prices, doing nothing to rein it in.
The Socialists think we the US stole everything we have from the world, so they must drive us back down to the level of 3rd world countries, so we are all "equal" again.
Well Al, we are not equal .... and we don't want to be. We earned our way, for centuries now. We voters must protect what we've earned, and force these radicals out of power.
There are things the Dems support that I support, but even after being in power 12 years out of the past 16 years, they have not fixed Social Security, for instance, which is a signature Democratic program and reform that the vast percentage of Americans support keeping in good condition.
Why has the party of Social Security not fixed its signature program? Because it is NOT the Democratic party right now, it was taken over in trojan-horse fashion by the Socialist party, which has basically vanished in the US if you look, since they took over the Democrat party from within. They see no need to restore Social Security, because in their imagination, as long as they can dupe voters and keep political power there will be no need for it .... everybody is equal regardless how much they work, and everyone will get a government check to live on.
That's crap.
The USSR failed trying to keep a system like that alive after WWII. China was failing similarly, until they adopted some capitalistic notions in their economic plan. But they are still socialist/communistic, and failure is only a small misstep away, if the major economies freeze them out.
The US survives because we have held to our principles of hard work, and keeping prices affordable. We risk that if we don't eradicate the Socialists from power positions in US government.
I'm waiting to hear if Harris is any different than Obama and Biden. If I don't hear enough difference, I will vote accordingly, and after that get involved to stop the wrong things Trump proposes.
It's more important right now to disrupt the Socialists power structure in every State of the Union; keeping Trump under control the next 4 years is easier. He got basically nothing done his first term, but likes to talk the talk and say he did.
Don't vote for Socialists, Al. We have lost more international respect under Biden's policies than we did under Trump.

You cancelled your own point, Al. You said "there WAS a time".

What happened back then was people woke up and realized what Hitler was actually doing, and resistence forced him out.

The same thing has happened to Biden, his approval rating among voters was abysmal and he was forced out. Now, we have to complete the job and keep his VP out of the WH, because it's apparent after seeing the Chicago convention that policy won't change under Harris.

Most of what she has said is take our hard-earned money and give it away to people who don't do anything productive in our economy, and let Biden's inflation policy keep rolling to cover funding shortfalls.
She hasn't a clue what to do about Social Security and Medicare, and they still want to make it easier for people here illegally to get "citizen" status so they can send them government checks even faster.

Until Socialism is run out of the Democratic party, American voters must vote GOP, and stay vigilant to prevent Trump from wandering to far away from the political center.
