Having had a near-miss head-on situation on a divided highway once maybe 15 years ago, that narrow median scares the heck out of me.
I had time to see the vehicle dive into the median before it re-emerged less than 50 yards in front of me and rolled over. I had immediately begun braking or it would've been closer. The cushion of time would be lost with this narrow median.

On some things, the good old days were not so good.

A similar thing happened to me in Denver.
